Institutional Scholarships

Congratulations on taking the next step on your road to becoming a Pacific Oaks College students. See below for descriptions of our scholarships for new students, and please click to download a scholarship application. Please return your completed Scholarship Application, along with any required material or essays, directly to your Enrollment Counselor (by email, mail, or in-person).

With the exception of the Diversity Scholarship and the Online Diversity Scholarship, ALL scholarship applicants MUST have a current “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA) on file to be considered for a Scholarship. Please note:  Only students whose enrollment applications have been accepted will be considered for scholarships. Please speak with your Enrollment Counselor if you have any questions about your enrollment application status.

Scholarship Descriptions


Leadership Scholarship $10,500 - $25,650
The Leadership Scholarship is awarded to students entering the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Management programs at the Pasadena and San Jose campuses of Pacific Oaks College. Recipients must begin their program in any of the terms from Fall 2021 to Summer II 2023. The award would be applied evenly over the semesters needed to complete the program. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress. Undergraduate students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and graduate students must maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout the program. Students who withdraw or postpone admission outside the stated start terms, transfer into another Pacific Oaks College program, or change campus preference to online would forfeit the scholarship.

Undergraduate Scholarship Awards
Transferring in 59 or fewer credits**
Full time*: $10,500.00

Transferring in 60 or more credits
Full time*: $25,650.00

Graduate Scholarship Award
Full time*: $ 20,070.00

*Scholarship awards will be adjusted for less than full-time attendance.
**Scholarship increases once an undergraduate student has earned 60 credits.
Diversity Scholarship $15,990 Undergraduate, $13,380 Graduate
The Diversity Scholarship is awarded to international students entering the approved programs for international enrollment at the Pasadena or San Jose campuses of Pacific Oaks College.

The scholarship is designated for students who enroll in ground-based programs at Pacific Oaks and intend to study in the U.S. in an eligible non-immigrant status (F-1 or J-1 visa). New students must apply and begin their program in any of the terms between Fall 2021 and Summer II 2023. The award would be applied yearly. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and additionally maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA for the undergraduate program and a cumulative 3.5 GPA at the graduate level throughout the program. Students who withdraw or postpone admission outside the stated start terms, or change campus preference to online while remaining in the United States, would forfeit the scholarship.

The yearly undergraduate scholarship award is $15,990, the yearly graduate scholarship award is $13,380, and the awards would be applied each academic year not including summer term.
Online Diversity Scholarship $15,990 Undergraduate, $13,380 Graduate
The Online Diversity Scholarship is awarded to international students entering online programs at Pacific Oaks College while still in residence in their home country. New students must apply and begin their program in any of the terms between Fall 2021 and Summer II 2023. The award would be applied yearly. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and additionally maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA for the undergraduate program and a cumulative 3.5 GPA at the graduate level throughout the program. Students who withdraw or postpone admission outside the stated start terms would forfeit the scholarship. The yearly undergraduate scholarship award is $15,990, the yearly graduate scholarship award is $13,380, and the awards would be applied each academic year not including summer term.
President’s Scholarship $1,000 - $2,000
The President’s Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to Pacific Oaks College’s mission. Scholarship awards will be divided and distributed at the beginning of a recipient’s first 2 semesters. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled during their first 2 semesters in order to be eligible. During the final semester of the program, students who have maintained satisfactory academic progress and continuous enrollment throughout their course of study will receive a final installment. *Master’s degree seeking applicants must provide proof of a teaching license.
Educator’s Scholarship $1,500 – $3,000
The Educator’s Scholarship is awarded to new students in the School of Education, specifically students holding teaching credential(s)* seeking a master's degree, or bachelor’s or master’s students seeking a teaching credential. Qualified students will receive $1,500 per semester for the first two semesters. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled in their program throughout the first two semesters in order to maintain eligibility. *Master’s degree seeking applicants must provide proof of a teaching license.
Community Involvement Scholarship $2,000
The Community Involvement Scholarship is awarded to bachelor's or master’s degree-seeking students who have provided outstanding service to their community. Applicants must submit an 800-1,000 word essay that explains their experience and personal commitment to their community, demonstrating support for Pacific Oaks College’s mission. Essays will be reviewed by a faculty committee. The Community Involvement Scholarship recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship that will be divided up equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress during their first two semesters in order to be eligible for both distributions.
Transfer Student Scholarship $1,000
The Transfer Student Scholarship is awarded to bachelor’s degree seeking students transferring to Pacific Oaks directly from a community college. Transfer Student Scholarship recipients may receive a $1,000 scholarship that will be divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Each student may receive a maximum of one Transfer Student Scholarship. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled in order to be eligible. Please include name of community college currently attending in your application
Legacy Scholarship $1,000
The Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students who have an immediate family member (parent, spouse, child, grandparent or sibling) who is either currently enrolled or is a graduate of Pacific Oaks College. Legacy Scholarship recipients receive a $1,000 scholarship divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled as a full-time student in order to be eligible.
Alumni Scholarship $2,000
The Alumni Scholarship is awarded to Pacific Oaks College alumni who start a second degree at Pacific Oaks College within two (2) semesters of the date of conferral of your Pacific Oaks College degree, as it appears on the transcript. Alumni Scholarship recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship which will be divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment in a Pacific Oaks College master's degree program. Students must remain in good academic standing and be making satisfactory progress toward their degree.
Dr. Michael Horowitz & Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez Immigrant/First Generation Scholarship $1,000 - $5,000
The Dr. Michael Horowitz and Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez Immigrant/First Generation Scholarship was established at Pacific Oaks College to enable students to blaze a new trail of success for their families and in their communities. It is available to both on ground or online students a) whose parents have not attended college (if applying to an undergraduate program), b) who is first in the family to attend graduate school (if applying to a graduate program), or c) who is an immigrant to the United States and is attending college for the first time in the United States. Scholarship funds will be applied to tuition expenses.
