Children’s School

We have been at the forefront of early childhood education for 70 years and are internationally known for our progressive approach and pioneering accomplishments in the areas of anti-bias education, emergent curriculum, and peaceful conflict resolution. Many undergraduate, graduate, and teacher credentialing students at Pacific Oaks College have the powerful opportunity to volunteer at and/or complete a portion of their training at the Children’s School.

Pacific Oaks Children’s School offers both part-time (morning and afternoon) and full-day programming; maintains low teacher-to-child ratios; and employs a unique team of professionals that includes exceptional teachers, an artist and musician in residence, and a special needs consultant.

Our expansive 1.5-acre campus provides an ideal setting for learning and exploration with tree-shaded pathways, original craftsman homes, spacious play yards, art studio, and neighborhood-like atmosphere. Some 170 families and 30 teachers have joined our inclusive community where each individual is provided an opportunity to learn and contribute in an environment of acceptance. Each of us plays a vital role in maintaining this cooperative spirit and parents are expected to involve themselves in the life of the school.
