Biography

Core Faculty- School of Human Development & Education

Cindy (Ai-Ling) Li received her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and added Mandarin Bilingual Authorization in 2016. She has taught in the public school setting as a primary grade Mandarin dual-language teacher for 6 years. She then received her Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Reading and Literacy. She received her Reading Special Credential along with a Reading Added Authorization with the completion of her studies in the Master Program. She is currently employed at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena as a Core Faculty member in the School of Human Development and Education to support the Early Childhood Education, Multiple-Subject Credential, and the Bilingual Authorization Programs.

Cindy is interested in the advocacy of new educators, in particular, new bilingual educators. Her aim is to support and, if needed, provide coaching and other support to ensure the success of new educators in working with especially young children. She is also interested in connecting with family and community members to create a bridge of a home and school connection so learning takes place, even outside the classroom.
