Dr. Eugenia Rodriguez, PsyD, LMFT received her Doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis on Marital and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on Latinx Family Studies from Pacific Oaks College and Bachelors' in Sociology with an emphasis on Social Action from Notre Dame de Namur University.
Since 1998, Dr. Rodriguez has been working in social services, beginning as a case manager, in-home counselor and then further advancing to clinician in 2004 specializing in trauma, abuse, Latinx Family Systems, LGBTQIA+ competencies and working within systems of care.
Since 2014, Dr. Rodriguez began working as a clinical supervisor, supervising intensive mental health programs for both adolescents and adults and was one of the co-authors of the Los Angeles LGBT Center's RISE (Recognize Intervene Support and Empower) manual, a collaboration with The Permanency Innovations Initiative (PII) which aimed to reduce the number of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) youth in long-term foster care (LTFC) and improve permanency by decreasing heterosexism and anti-transgender bias in caregiving settings.
In addition to being core faculty, Dr. Rodriguez is currently the Coordinator for the Latinx Family Studies and LGBTQIA+ Studies program.
