Dr. G.A. Vigil has been a Professor of Business Communications, Management, Marketing Communications, Organizational Leadership, Strategy and Competitive Intelligence, and Sustainability with a focus on strategic communications and marketing at colleges and universities throughout the United States of America. He has taught both asynchronous and synchronous capacities and has instructionally designed curricula and courses for small, mid-size, and large institutions and organizations with over 200,000 employees. He has experience in teaching adult learners from many different cultural backgrounds, including many neurodiverse, students with disabilities and access needs, first 1st generation students, or other historically underrepresented or underserved students, minorities, international teams, and global executive partnerships. He has also researched effective practices in the field and surveyed inter-departments to solicit feedback, and developed high-quality and scalable systems-change solutions, and updates. He has curated and coordinated updates on programs and multi-year action plans to develop learning, logical, and operational models and workflows. Dr. G.A. Vigil presents an array of vivid life experiences and knowledge. Being Native American and having Mexican indigenous ancestry, he encourages everyone to develop their own voice and sense of authority by asking them to draw upon their own culture -- a subject on which they are experts. He empower them ask them to expand their cultural conversations by completing research on elements related to their lives and aspirations. His intent is to set a foundation with the knowledge and experience needed to further future generations. He pays homage to his ancestors and fulfilling the obligation to learn, practice, and teach about customs, history, and traditions. He strives to be the change that he advocates for. He has worked internationally to coach and develop government officials and leadership at organizations in both the public and private sectors and has established several development programs to guide frontline, management, and C-suite executives. He has advised on several consulting engagements in third-world countries and has taught and led programs to advance minorities.
He has completed a Ph.D. Global Leadership and Change and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. He also earned a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from Purdue University; He earned a Strategic Communication Management Certificate from Purdue University as well. Furthermore, he has taken and completed online training coursework from Harvard Business School (Online) and has completed a Business Administration Certificate Program at Claremont Graduate University.
