I became a licensed and registered occupational therapist in the state of California in 2016. I have had the privilege of working in multiple different areas of pediatric occupational therapy, including school-based, community-based, and early intervention/private practice. The majority of my career has been at an outpatient, medically-based clinic at Kaiser Permanente in Antelope Valley. At Kaiser Permanente, I served as a member of the Developmental Clinic, as well as the Professional Practice Committee member for my region. I also co-developed a Multidisciplinary Feeding Clinic. Within pediatrics, I specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, and feeding and eating difficulties, including picky eating, oral motor delays, and dysphagia. I hold a specialty certification for the Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention of swallowing-related difficulties (SWC) with the state of California Board of Occupational Therapy. I also hold a specialty certification in Sensory Integration, through the University of Southern California. My research interests include: the use of lifestyle medicine in pediatric occupational therapy, the impact of increasing nutritional education in occupational therapy programs, and occupational therapy's role in working with homeschooling families.
