Renaldo G. Wilson (he/him) has over 20 years of experience working in the health field for both private and public sectors. He is very passionate about equity and anti-oppression and is now the Health Equity Consultant for National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD).
Renaldo has degrees in Jazz Performance, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition & Metabolism and Comparative Near Eastern Religions and Philosophies. His certifications include: Functional Nutrition, Diabetes Education, Prenatal/Postpartum Exercise, Peri/Post Menopause Nutrition, Corrective Exercise Techniques, among many others.
He has worked as the Program Director for NUPAC (Nicotine Use Prevention and Control) for New Mexico's Department of Health, as well as the National Equity Engagement Officer for the Tobacco Control Network (TCN).
He was formerly a Health Educator, Cessation Specialist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. In 2020 he served as a Health Education Manager for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. For years he taught as an adjunct professor with Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. His courses included Human Nutrition and Metabolism, as well as World Music and Culture
