Samantha Gerson, LCSW, PsyD Student has worked in the social work and psychology field since 2015. Samantha has worked at inpatient hospitals, LGBTQ+ centers, in community mental health, and in private practice. She has taught several courses and runs her own nonprofit, UnBroken. UnBroken helps connect survivors of Institutional Abuse and Conversion to free legal, therapeutic and vocational resources. Samantha started her own private practice, Samantha Gerson Therapy, in 2019. She also began writing and conducting research in 2018, and has two published pieces.
Samantha volunteers for several nonprofits, fosters dogs in her free time, and is a mentor for LGBTQ+ youth. She currently is completing her PsyD, following several years in practice as a LCSW. Samantha specializes in working with survivors of sexual abuse, human trafficking, conversion therapy and CPTSD. She is trained in IFS, EFT, EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Brain-spotting. Additionally, outside of her trauma modalities, Samantha practices CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness.
Samantha enjoys spending time with her partner and three dogs. She loves to read, go to the movies, listen to live music and travel. She has been to 42 of the 50 states and hopes to make to all 50.
